February 14

Cpl. Croney, dog bite, CR 2503; while working at residence, victim was bit by their dog, owner received citation for not being able to provide vaccine records, advised to quarantine dog.

Sgt. Morrison, warrant service, CR 2445; deputy observed one subject with active warrant who fled inside. Jennifer Clanton also had active warrant, placed in custody. Other subject fled through back door, deputies unable to locate. 

Deputy Rich, Deputy Cato, suspicious person, CR 2176; subject advised he lived at residence, home owner advised subject did not live there, was not welcome there. Ian McGaughey arrested for public intoxication.

February 15

Sgt. Morrison, warrant service, Alba. Gracie Grant arrested for outstanding warrant.

Deputy Whisenhunt, burglary, CR 3440; property owner saw subject leaving from his boat the previous day, observed someone broke into boat house, took multiple items. 

Cpl. Burdick, Deputy Williams, traffic stop, FM 2088; driver did not want to roll window down, informed that canine search would be done, driver admitted contraband inside vehicle. Martha Johnson arrested for possession of controlled substance.

February 16

Deputy Skinner, theft, FM 14; estate sale company told caller that neighbors had been stealing items out of shed, is working to get list of missing items. 

Sgt. Cox, Deputy Comeaux, disturbance, FM 312; victim advised she was struck in face by suspect, who appeared to be under the influence and very agitated. William Merchant arrested for assault.

Deputy Haley, possible theft; caller believes they found item on Facebook that was stolen from them, information forwarded to investigations.

February 17

Sgt. Cox, theft, Private Road 5182; neighbors advised someone stole tractor and trailer and trying to steal camper, suspects unhooked from camper, left residence, investigations notified.

Cpl. Rapp, Deputy Nichols, welfare check, CR 2560; caller believes family member was under the influence, making threats, deputies unable to locate male.

Deputy Comeaux, structure fire; deputies learned property owner purposely set fire cleaning up property. 

Cpl. Smith, warrant service, Mineola PD; Reba Davis arrested for out of county warrant.

Cpl. Smith, traffic stop, Hwy. 37; deputy observed driver to be intoxicated, performed sobriety tests, during search, two bags of crystal-like substance located. Whitney Maxwell arrested for DWI, possession of a controlled substance.

February 18

Cpl. Rapp, Deputy Nichols, suicidal subject, Lake Holbrook; family members advised subject made statements about wanting to die, transported to receive treatment.

Cpl. Smith, Deputy Way, mental health issue; victims stated son became upset, struck both of them during argument, subject transported to receive treatment.

Deputy Comeaux, traffic stop, FM 515; sobriety tests completed, Travis Morel arrested for driving while intoxicated.

February 19

Deputy Whisenhunt, criminal mischief; caller advised truck was keyed while at family member’s residence, provided possible suspect, case forwarded to investigations.

Cpl. Burdick, Deputy Williams, theft, Alba; victim’s clothes stolen from laundry mat, business owner advised security footage would be provided.

Cpl. Burdick, Deputy Williams, warrant service; deputies checked subject’s residence, did not locate him, called subject, Anthony Perkins, advised of warrant, turned self in.

February 20 

Deputy Pollard, harassment; caller received alarming voicemails, kept coming from multiple numbers, offense report completed.

Deputy Cato, suspicious vehicle, CR 2100; while en route, deputy located vehicle matching description, that began to flee, unable to catch up to vehicle.

Deputies, stolen vehicle, Hawkins; caller advised he was going to look at motorcycle he believed to be stolen, which was confirmed, contacted suspect, Justin Pruitt, who admitted having crystal-like substance, arrested for unauthorized use of motor vehicle, possession of controlled substance.
