December 6

Lt. Milbourn, Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Croney, warrant service, CR 2351; deputies observed wanted subject’s vehicle leaving property, attempted traffic stop, driver fled several miles, drove vehicle into densely wooded area, inaccessible by patrol vehicle. Deputies located vehicle in woods, suspect fled on foot. Deputies located Gregory Roberts, who fled to adjacent property. Deputies located skid steer on suspect’s property that was entered as stolen as well as pipe containing crystal-like substance, suspect arrested on three warrants, evading arrest and possession of controlled substance.

Sgt. Williams, burglary in progress, Yantis; caller advised ex-wife came onto property, opened front door. Both parties requested criminal trespasses.

December 7

Deputies, agency assist, CR 1300; EMS advised male was working on vehicle, it fell on him, deputies assisted setting up landing zone, male transported.

Cpl. Smith, Wade, terroristic threat, CR 2740; victim’s wife threatened to stab him if he came back to house, wife believed husband possibly had firearm, would use it. 

Cpl. Smith, Deputy Wade, Deputy Rich, disturbance, CR 3190; caller’s son, husband got into verbal altercation that became physical. Due to conflicting stories, parties separated to prevent further conflicts.

December 8

Cpl. Rapp, burglary, Holly Lake Ranch; property owner advised two golf carts stolen, case forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Cox, damaged property, Hwy. 37; caller advised landlord had someone cutting tree down, landed on their vehicle, landlord advised he would contact insurance to get vehicle fixed. Deputies spoke with subject cutting tree, Michael Benscoter, who had active warrant, subject’s helper, Jay Rigsbay, also had active warrant, taken into custody.

Lt. Kovic, Cpl. Burdick, Deputy Williams, Deputy Haley, shots fired, CR 2163; while victims were at friend’s house, three people, began argument, after subjects left, victims drove away, heard gun shots, found two bullet holes in tailgate, offense report completed. 

Cpl. Burdick, assist Winnsboro PD, disturbance; someone threatened to use gun, subjects refused to give details, advised they were fine.

December 9

Sgt. Cox, Cpl. Croney, disturbance, Hwy. 80; victim got into argument with husband that became physical, victim had firearm, stated did not point at husband. Due to conflicting stories, offense report completed, further investigation will take place.

Lt. Kovic, Cpl. Croney, Deputy George, suicidal subject; caller’s son attempted to harm himself with firearm, did not realize it was unloaded, fled into woods, deputies located male, transported to receive treatment.

Sgt. Mayer, Haley, burglary, Holly Lake Ranch; property owner came home to man inside residence, fled, deputies did not locate suspect.

December 10

Cpl. Rapp, theft, CR 3582; victim’s nephew stole four-wheeler, will provide serial number to enter as stolen.

Sgt. Mayer, Haley, disturbance, CR 2945; neighbor’s dogs came onto caller’s property chasing horses, victim confronted neighbors which led to disturbance that became physical, neither wished to pursue charges.

Cpl. Burdick, Deputy Williams, disturbance, CR 3984; neighbor’s kept shining lights on property, smoke coming onto property.  Deputies have been dealing with on-going issue, parties separated.

December 11

Deputy Pollard, criminal trespass, FM 312; caller’s neighbor came onto property, pulled up no trespassing signs, neighbor received criminal trespass warning.

Sgt. Williams, Deputy Cato, disturbance; juvenile advised mother hit him during argument, mother and witness advised she was disciplining child. Juvenile Probation contacted, parties were separated.

December 12

Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Croney, death investigation; caller found property handy man deceased in camper, had history of medical issues, autopsy ordered.

Deputy Pollard, Deputy Cato, female subject at Sheriff’s Office found to be hallucinating due to narcotic use, transported by EMS to receive treatment.

Lt. Kovic, Deputy Rich, physical disturbance, CR 2950; male stated during argument, friend who lives with him became upset, female pushed male into bathtub. Neither wished to pursue charges, separated for the night.

Cpl. Smith, Deputy Wade, dog bite, FM 515; victim went to neighbor’s house, dog bit her in face, victim transported by EMS, incident report completed.
