Wood County Sheriff’s Report
October 25
Cpl. Croney, criminal mischief, CR 3144; during argument with boyfriend, he busted out victim’s vehicle window, wished to pursue charges.
Sgt. Morrison, vehicle fire, CR 1906; vehicle fully engulfed.
Sgt. Williams, disturbance, Private Road 7986; male hit victim on side of head, when she told him she was calling law enforcement, he fled, victim did not wish to pursue charges, case will be checked into.
October 26
Cpl. Croney, warrant service, Adult Probation. Tessa Fisher arrested for outstanding warrant.
Deputy Cato, theft; victim advised while evicting grandson, noticed items missing from residence, learned from neighbors he was attempting to sell items, offense report completed.
Sgt. Williams, Deputy Rich, female walking on bridge flipping people off; female advised she was having problems with customers at her business, given ride back to business, deputies called out again later for similar issue.
October 27
Lt. Kovic, Lt. Milbourn, terroristc threat, CR 3494. After speaking with both subjects, Shannon Schattel arrested for terroristic threat.
Deputy McGee, animal complaint, CR 2934; unable to contact dog owner, night shift deputies will attempt later.
Deputy Way, terroristic threat, CR 3230; victim received text threatening his life. Deputy received copy of text, offense report completed.
October 28
Cpl. Croney, criminal mischief, CR 4930; property owner advised vehicle drove through fence during night.
Cpl. Croney, animal welfare, CR 2169; dogs appeared to have food, water. Kirstin Lopez arrested for outstanding warrant.
Deputy Comeaux, disturbance, Hwy. 37; victim’s son was angry, looking for items, would not listen to her, female struck victim several times. Jerri Brassfield arrested for assault.
Deputy Way, theft, CR 3490; someone stole game camera, possibly other items, unable to locate suspect.
October 29
Sgt. Mayer, illegal dumping, FM 1254; multiple items located on side of road, unable to determine how items got there.
Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Haley, disturbance, CR 3860; one subject had been drinking during night, became agitated at another person. No one wished to press charges.
October 30
Deputy Pollard, warrant service, Adult Probation; Richard Morgan arrested for outstanding warrant.
Deputy Pollard, animal complaint, CR 3540; dogs attacked two ponies, one of the dogs was shot, deputy unable to locate dog owner.
Sgt. Morrison, criminal trespass, Holiday Village; caller advised male on property trying to pick up vehicle he claimed he purchased, subject unable to provide proof of sale, trespass warning issued.
Cpl. Smith, traffic stop, FM 2659; Williams Naylor arrested for DWI.
October 31
Cpl. Croney, warrant service, Adult Probation; Gustavo Hernandez arrested for outstanding warrant.
Deputy Cato, courtesy transport; male released from jail did not have place to go, transported to shelter in Mineola.
Sgt. Williams, criminal trespass, FM 1643; caller advised he wanted people who live on same property trespassed from residence; deputies trespassed one subject, uncooperative letting deputies speak with other people in house.
