August 2

Cpl. Croney, welfare check, CR 3802; multiple trash bags observed on front porch, urine odor, property owner advised they turn on water only for drinking, Adult Protective Services contacted.

Cpl. Rapp, Deputy Smith, EMS assist, Holly Lake Ranch; EMS advised elderly male on medication altered his mental state, subject began reaching for gun, taken away before he could grab it, transported to receive medical treatment.

Deputy Smith, traffic stop, FM 14; when driver emptied pockets, he attempted to hide item, deputy observed fake lighter that contained crystal-like substance. Richard Willoughby arrested for possession of controlled substance.

Deputy Smith, Deputy Way, disturbance, Lake Holbrook; victim did not wish to pursue charges or give information, at hospital victim provided one suspect’s name.

August 3

Cpl. Croney, welfare check, CR 1660; male caused damage to mailbox, water heater, incident report completed.

Deputy George, Deputy Pollard, abandoned vehicle, CR 3234; deputies located driver, passenger, driver Brian Davis had active warrant, arrested.

Deputy Way, Deputy Rich, suicidal subject, Lake Quitman; located subject in Quitman, transported to receive treatment.

Cpl. Rapp, deadly conduct, CR 1560; victim walking dog when neighbor threatened him, displayed firearm. As victim was walking away, thought he heard firearm go off, did not wish to pursue charges.

Deputy Smith, traffic stop, Hwy. 154; crystal-like substance located behind driver and passenger seat. Llana Scott and Antion Berry arrested for possession of controlled substance.

August 3

Deputy Hughes, disturbance, Holly Lake Ranch; victim and husband got into  argument several hours earlier, she was worried how he would act when he woke up, victim intoxicated, unable to leave residence, victim’s son offered to pick her up.

Deputies, shots fired, Mineola; report of shots fired out of vehicle at house. Mineola PD tied up on other calls, deputies assisted until Mineola PD responded

Cpl. Burdick, assault, CR 1562; victims stated three suspects assaulted them causing injuries, did not wish to receive medical treatment, case forwarded to investigations.

August 4

Cpl. Baldwin, possible squatter, Holiday Villages; property owner advised when she came back to residence there was evidence someone had been staying there, provided list of people who may have key.

Deputy Kovic, welfare check; landlord advised tenant not feeling well, asked for something to drink, provided tenant with drinks but could not check on subject due to jammed door. Deputies located subject deceased.

August 5

Deputy Comeaux, theft, FM 2869; caller and other workers left site, when they returned, tools missing. Deputy located suspect’s footprints, offense report completed.

Sgt. Mayer, disturbance, Private Road 6952; victim’s friends’ son came to visit, began drinking, became angry, hit victim, victim did not want to press charges, suspect Steven Anderson had active warrant, arrested.

Deputy Comeaux, suicidal subject, FM 2869; located subject who had self-inflicted wounds, transported to receive treatment.

Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Hughes, runaway juvenile; while deputies were searching for child, she returned to residence. While deputies were speaking with father, child showed self-inflicted injuries, transported to receive treatment.

August 6 

Deputy Kovic, harassment; caller stated ex called over 200 times in one night after she told him to stop talking to her, offense report completed.

Deputy Whisenhunt, criminal mischief, CR 1941; homeowner advised ex-wife who was criminally trespassed entered residence, tore up victims’ clothes and a restored car, offense report completed. 

Deputy Hughes, stolen vehicle, CR 1576; caller let someone drive off in vehicle with agreement that they would pay for it in the next few days, unable to reach person who took car.

August 7 

Cpl. Croney; caller advised he left equipment on someone’s property, they are trying to sell items, other party stated he would return items to owner.

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Pollard, stolen vehicle, CR 3160; repo company picking up vehicle when they came across one that was stolen, property owner advised he recently bought vehicle, did not know original owner, vehicle towed, report completed.

Deputy Pollard, burglary of vehicle, CR 4192; caller received vehicle, noticed someone had broken into it, neighbor provided pictures of suspect entering vehicle, deputies located personal items from suspect.

Deputy Way, animal bite; dog owner advised her dog bit friend, could not provide vaccine records, dog owner given citation for no vaccine records.

Sgt. Morrison, warrant service. Emily Strickland arrested for outstanding warrant.

August 8

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Pollard, unauthorized use of motor vehicle, CR 4730. Deputies located vehicle, driver advised someone sold him vehicle, vehicle returned to owner who wished to pursue charges.

Sgt. Sepulvado, warrant service, Adult Probation. James Weems arrested for outstanding warrant.

Sgt. Morrison, probation violation, Adult Probation; female tested positive on drug test, possibly had narcotics, suspect stated residue was on vape which tested positive, also had containers that tested positive for meth. Daphney Ellsworth arrested for possession of controlled substance.

Deputy Pollard located wanted subject, CR 3144; deputy spoke with suspect who fled on foot into densely wooded area. Deputies unable to locate subject.

Sgt. Williams, Deputy Way, Deputy Rich, Deputy Smith, burglary in progress, CR 4750; suspect had already fled scene, victim provided photos of suspect, case forwarded to investigations.
