Mineola’s Moore gets call to majors
Adam Moore, a 2004 graduate of Mineola High School, has been called up to the major leagues by the Cleveland Indians.
Moore, who has spent the summer with Cleveland’s Triple-A affiliate in Columbus, Ohio, was called up on Sept. 1 as an emergency third catcher for the final four weeks of the 2016 regular season.
The Cleveland Indians currently lead the American League Central Division by six games heading into the final month of the season.
