Willie Wade Dotson  1962-2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Willie Wade Dotson, who passed away on Sept. 1, 2023 at age 61.

Willie was born on Oct. 31, 1961 in Austin. He served in the military and later became a farmer. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Marie Dotson, and brother, Ray Dotson. He is survived by daughter, Desiree Ibarra and husband David of Oklahoma and son Kevin Dotson of Brady; sister, Delia Wood of Mineola; brother, John Dotson and wife Amanda of Benbrook; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Willie will be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit, his love of family and his commitment to his community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be held Sept. 23 at the Blanco River in Blanco.
