Panthers start ‘23 with win
The Alba-Golden Panthers blitzed Detroit last Thursday to open the 2023 varsity football campaign with a 56-0 win.
Scoring touchdowns were Jake Hallman on runs of 77 and 19 yards, Luke Jones on runs of 21 and 16 yards, Luke Sutton with a 13-yard run, Layton Williams on a 2-yard run and Gavin Parker with a 61-yard pass reception.
In the kicking game, Cameron Lennon had a punt return of 47 yards
Sam Olson and Trae Nelson each converted 4-of-4 extra points.
The defense was swarming and allowed only two first downs.
Garrett Wright recorded an interception.
The first home game is Thursday at 7:30 pm vs. Linden Kildare.
