No one fights alone
The Mineola community rallied for the Blackwell family Saturday with a barbecue, car wash and more at Meredith Memorial Stadium. Six-year-old Jase, son of Mineola High School athletic director Luke Blackwell, was recently diagnosed with leukemia. Above, Toscha Sneed, one of the organizers, carries food to the serving line. At right, junior high athletes wash one of two UT Health ambulances brought in for a wash job. All proceeds from the event, along with t-shirt sales and business donations, will go toward the Blackwells’ medical expenses for Jase’s treatments.
