Mineola play advances
The Mineola High School One-Act play has advanced to the area competition. Mineola cast and crew earned the following awards at bidistrict Friday at Northeast Texas Community College - Mt. Pleasant.
All-Star Tech Crew - Preciosa Zavala
Honorable Mention - Ben Spofford
All-Star Cast - Brittnie Christophersen.
Its performance of “The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane” qualified for the next round to be held Friday, March 31 at Longview High School.
A public performance will be held Tuesday, March 28 at 8 p.m. at Mineola High School
Admission is $5 at the door. There will be no admittance once the show has begun.
The show is based on the novel by Kate DiCamillo and has been adapted for the stage by Dwayne Hartford. Permissions are provided through Dramatic Publishing, Inc.
