Hope you had a great summer! By the time you read this, school for Mineola and Alba will have resumed and sadly there will be fewer children in the library. We continue to offer Toddler Story Time on Tuesday mornings at 9 a.m. for 18 month to 3-year-old children with their parent/caregiver.

We are working on plans for the fall. If you have an idea for a program, please, call the library (903-569-2767) or stop by in person (301 N. Pacific in Mineola) and let us know. We will have a schedule of events for September sometime the last week of August.

August is Clear the Shelters month. We have a display featuring pets and a tub for collecting donations for the Mineola Animal Shelter and APET. If you would like to donate food, treats, collars, leashes, bedding or something else feel free to leave your donation at the library and we will divide the donations between the two entities at the end of the month.

Have you explored our TexShare Databases? Inside the databases you may find DIY projects, small engine repair information, and study guides for elementary students and high school equivalency studies. There are even some eBooks hidden within this database.

Because we no longer have the annex, we are not currently accepting books, movies or audiobook donations due to the fact we have no place to store them for review. We also do not have a place to host a book sale at the moment. We are working on ideas for both. It just may be a while. Please, be patient.

Remember, the Mineola Memorial Library is a 501(c)3, non-profit and your donations may be tax-deductible.
