Mineola Kiwanis donation
A Farmstand was donated to the Mineola Middle School science classes by the Mineola Kiwanis Club. The Farmstand is a self-watering, self fertilizing hydroponic way to grow plants in nutrient enriched water without soil. It was offered through a grant by a partnership through Kiwanis International and the Lettuce Grow Company. Pictured are Susan Witt, science teacher; members of the Mineola Kiwanis Club, Beth Shockey, Joyce Curry, Art Gould, Roy Shockey and Becky Moore and Mineola Middle School science students.) The Farmstand will be placed in the outdoor science classroom.
