Mineola girls close in on district softball crown
Mineola High School softball team has qualified for a playoff spot and will contend for the district championship in the last week of the regular season.
The Lady Jackets were 10-1 headed into the final week and had a key game at Winnsboro played on Tuesday.
The Lady Raiders were 8-2 with two games left, tied with Mt. Vernon for second place.
Those two teams split their games. Mineola also has a split with Mt. Vernon and defeated Winnsboro the first time the teams faced off.
Mineola defeated Harmony on Friday 11-0.
