Mineola chamber planning for annual fiesta in May

The Mineola Chamber of Commerce is preparing for the annual Fiesta de Mayo (May Fiesta) which celebrates Hispanic heritage and culture in the area from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, May 4 in historic downtown Mineola.

This event brings more than 4,000 people to town each year. There will be various activities and forms of entertainment including artisan and food vendors, a classic car show, Mariachi Real, Aztec and Folkloric dancers, a Selena impersonator, pinatas, music, contests and much more.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
