Lady Panthers break loose in third, run away from Saltillo
A 10-run 3rd inning helped propel the Alba-Golden Lady Panthers to a 19-5 win over Saltillo last Tuesday.
Saltillo haapulled within 7-5 with a 5-run 3rd after Alba-Golden plated three runs in the 1st inning and four in the 2nd.
The Lady Panthers added a pair in the 4th for good measure and didn’t need to bat in the 5th.
Alba-Golden smacked 16 hits while Saltillo was held to three.
Reese Michaels had a four-hit night for Alba-Golden and drove in four runs.
Rylee Wilcoxson hit safely three times and Kayli Covey two while Kylie Kennedy drove in four runs.
Skyler West got the win in four and two-thirds innings of work, striking out four.
