Lady Bulldogs narrow the gap in district loss to Chapel Hill
The Quitman Lady Bulldogs played a much better game this time around with state-ranked Mt. Pleasant Chapel Hill. After losing the first time 71-24, the Lady Bulldogs fell to the Lady Devils 39-19 on their home court last Friday.
Quitman was led by Ashley Davis who hit three triples for nine points. Kaysi Parker scored five points, Allie Berry had four and Addie Marcee hit one free throw.
Quitman fell to 3-5 in district action and in fifth place, one game behind Mineola for the final playoff spot.
The win left Chapel Hill with a 21-5 record on the season and 6-1 in district action with their only loss by 11 points to district leader Winnsboro.
Quitman will be at Harmony Friday after playing a non-district game against Tyler Heat on Tuesday.
