Jeanie Roland 1941-2023

Jeanie Roland peacefully passed away at home at age 82 on Dec. 23, 2023. Jeanie was born on Jan. 5, 1941 to Virgil and Nell Bryant. 

Jeanie’s greatest accomplishment was her family. She loved them with her whole heart, and that was returned to her through her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her love of extended family, friends who turned into family, and strangers who became family was poured out continually in her kind words, deeds and actions.  

Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Nell Bryant; brother, Jerry Bryant; sons, Larry Roland and Steve Roland; granddaughters, Sherry Norris and Kim Ballard; and grandson, Stryder Gilbreath. 

She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Patsy Beall and brother, Artie Bryant and his wife Debra; daughters, Donna Roland, Lynne Short and her husband Bob, and Lori Sigler and her husband John; and son, Johnny Roland and his wife Gayle. 

Grandchildren include Ryan Roland and wife Bobbi, Lindsey Hammond and husband Corey, Alexandria and her husband Greg, Kayla Spruell, Nic Roland, Scott Duncan and wife Lauri, John William Roland III, and Katina Landers and husband Joseph. 

Jeanie also had 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. 

Jeanie touched the hearts of everyone she met, and her memory will forever bring a smile to those who knew her.
