Donna Marie Benningfield Scott, 65, a beautiful, loving wife, sister and aunt died on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023, at UT Health in Tyler.

Donna was born in Owensboro, Ky. on Sept. 10, 1957. She retired several years ago from Annie’s Attic as a product development supervisor. She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed a good laugh. Donna was a wiz with any kind of needlecraft and especially enjoyed crocheting. She donated many crocheted items to numerous charities over the years. She loved to travel with her husband and especially enjoyed their trips to Estes Park, Colo. and visiting family in Kentucky. She was generous with her time and was always happy to help friends and family. She will be dearly missed.

Left to mourn her passing is her husband of 39 years, Charles Scott; sister Annette Atteberry (Aaron); brothers, Wendell Benningfield (Jeanna) and Wayne Benningfield (Cleta); niece, Ashley Benningfield; nephews, Dylan Benningfield, Jared Benningfield (Rachel) and Jess Atteberry (Hailey); mother-in-law, Barbara Scott; and sisters-in-law, Elaine Scott and Vicky Frank.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Bernice (Dant) Benningfield, and nephew, Cole Atteberry.

No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a memorial is scheduled.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
