In a story in last week’s Monitor, it was reported that chiropractor John Wisdom of Quitman was leaving his leased facility and planning to build another facility, in conjunction with the Quitman Development Corp.’s business park. In hearing more of the story, we felt that some of the details needed to be clarified.

Dr. Scott Olson had requested that the new doctors cease and desist in some advertising that was done through social media that he felt was misleading. Dr. Wisdom explained to him some of the confusion regarding the advertising from the new doctors, and those ads were taken down immediately. Because the new doctors were advertising as a new corporation, Dr. Olson required a lease/sub lease agreement. The two new doctors were not going to be permitted to perform therapy services in the same building as Dr. Olson’s Therapy Center. They then decided to build their own facility.  Quitman Chiropractic were not evicted from their lease, which expires at year-end.
