Churches partner to host revival for community

Two Mineola churches welcome the community to bring in the autumn season, partnering to host a Fall in Love with Jesus Revival.

St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church and the First Methodist Church of Mineola will join forces to provide the event Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. at the Methodist Ministry Center, 612 N. Newsom in Mineola.

Pastors Demethrius Boyd of St. Paul and John Thomas of First Methodist will deliver messages, and the St. Paul Music Ministry will perform.

There will be an open communion, and refreshments will be served after.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Come on over to Mineola’s beautiful Historic Select Theater and hear the Lake Country Symphonic Band’s Christmasy “Everything Christmas” concert.

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
