Memorial services for James Kenneth Spurgeon, 67,

Winns- boro, were held last Saturday at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro.

Mr. Spurgeon passed away February 3, 2013 in Tyler.

He was born January 23, 1946 in Gainesville, Texas to the late Adolph and Louella McBroom Spurgeon.

H e proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War. He was a retired programmer for Haliburton, a Mason, and a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, James Aaron Spurgeon.

Survivors include wife, Loutrissa “Faye” Spurgeon of Winnsboro; daughters, Amber Spurgeon Maynard and husband

Brian of Sulphur Springs, Becky Jinright of Tyler, Kimberly Sullivan and husband David of Fort Worth; son, Billy Jinright and wife Phyllis of Flint; brothers, Robert Spurgeon and wife Janice of Golden, John Spurgeon and wife Gina of Whitesboro; sisters, Sonia Vaughn and husband Don of Enid OK., Sharon Dettling and husband Joe of Cleveland, TX., Sue Dedek and husband Mike of Marietta, OK.; and five grandchildren.
