Bessie Lorene Pinto, 1927-2019

Bessie Lorene Pinto passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019. She was born on Saturday, June 18, 1927 in Telephone to the late Charlie and Minnie Penuel Griffin.

Mrs. Pinto lived in Lindale the past 24 years, having moved from Fremont, Cal. She was retired from Morton Salt in California. She enjoyed playing the poker machines at the boats, yard work, playing Pedro, doing word search puzzles and reading. The thing she loved most was being spoiled by her husband of 45 years.

Mrs. Pinto is preceded in death by her parents; brother, James D. Griffin; sisters, Sallie Lewers, Ethel Areia and Wanda Blair.

She is survived by her wonderful husband, Richard Pinto; two sons, Jimmie Wisdom and Jeffrey Pinto; one daughter, Roxann Moore; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pinto are scheduled for Friday, Dec. 6, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert
