Annual Meredith grants awarded
The Meredith Foundation of Mineola has announced its 2024 grant awards to 15 organizations.
Trustees met on Feb. 19 and awarded $1,180,428 in grants.
The organizations receiving funding include the following:

City of Mineola
Grace Community Healthcare
Lake Country Playhouse/Select Theater
Mineola Civic Center
Mineola Independent School District
Mineola ISD Education Foundation
Mineola Memorial Library
Mineola League of the Arts
Mineola Youth Foundation
Methodist Children’s Home
Mineola Community Chest
Mineola Senior Citizens Center
Rose Hill Community Food Pantry
Last year’s grants totaled $1,414,394 to 15 organizations with $1,139,515 to 14 organizations in 2022, $1,031,897 was awarded in 2021 and $1,475,378 was awarded in 2020.
The foundation was established in 1958 by Mineola banker Harry Meredith and is nearing $40 million in contributions to community non-profit organizations.
