Alba-Golden top Lady Panthers
North Hopkins entered the red kingdom's court last Friday for a district matchup with Alba-Golden, and the host Lady Panthers defended their territory, blowing out the visiting Lady Panthers 75-17.
Alba-Golden came out of the gates blazing, scoring 30 points in the first quarter while shutting out North Hopkins until the second, when they allow just three points to take a 46-3 halftime advantage.
The starting line-up of Cacie Lennon, Bella Crawford, Kalli Wright, Hannah Wright and Autumn Whitten all had assists in the first quarter.
Whitten hit her first three attempts from three-point range while Hannah Wright dominated the paint, scoring 10 and grabbing five rebounds in the first half.
Lennon was a menace, matching North Hopkins' total score of 17. Whitten totaled 15 points, Kalli Wright added 14, and Hannah Wright got 13. Crawford had six points and played her usual consequential defense. Carlee Dooley score five points, Amanda Stewart had three and Kadence Wright two.
