A-G ladies tie for tops in district
The Alba-Golden Lady Panthers and Como-Pickton tied atop the district softball standings and are having a one-game playoff to determine the district’s top seed in the state playoffs.
That game was initially scheduled for Monday, April 22 but was postponed until the following day after Saturday’s regional track meet finals had to be moved to Monday due to Saturday’s storms.
Once the results of Tuesday’s playoff are known, the team will be scheduling its bidistrict playoff, likely with games in a Thursday through Saturday time slot.
Meanwhile the Panthers are having a warm up game Saturday at Edgewood before wading into the baseball playoffs next week, representing the district as undefeated champions.
