A-G foundation hands out first grants
The Alba-Golden Education Foundation held its first prize patrol last Wednesday for teacher classroom grants.
The following teachers received these amounts to fund the listed projects.
Debbie Nivison, $211.93, STEM supplies
Shana Wilkinson, $250, writing center
Ashley Gilbreath, $275, writing materials
Mandy Whitecotton, $959, audio equipment
Beth Hlavaty, $5,000, table and chairs for art classroom
Teri Bedford, $1,000, classroom library
Beth Cavitt, $1,000, flex seating for the library
Joanna Bowden, $304, for medical supplies.
The foundation is in its first year of operation, raising funds to benefit the school district in a variety of ways, including classroom grants for teachers.
