Vernon Arthur Timian 1942-2023

Vernon Arthur Timian, 81, of Mineola passed away on Dec. 10, 2023 in Quitman.

He was born in Devils Lake, N.D. to the late Arthur W. Timian and Adella E. Perkuhn Timian. He was a faithful member of the Hawkins Trinity Lutheran Church. He was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dresden, N.D. He enjoyed hunting and working with his hands. He was a farmer and a trucker.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Aloma L. (Vonnie) Timian; two stepsons, Marty Masters and Randy Masters; numerous cousins; three nephews; and one niece.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
