Rickey Lynn Rushing 1955-2023

Rickey Lynn Rushing, 68, of Alba, passed away Dec. 3, 2023 in Alba. He was born Sept. 7, 1955 in Dallas to John Dee and Otta Lee Taylor Rushing. He lived most of his life in the Leonard and Alba areas. Rickey was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Otis and Ethel Gilbreath Taylor and Thomas Cannon and Emma Flanagan Rushing; brother-in-law, Kenny Hinsley; and cousin, Tommy Deel.

Survivors include his two sons, John Rushing and Laura Williams of Royse City and Clayton Rushing and Alyssa Guidry of Lewisville; brother, Mike Rushing and wife Donna of Leonard; sister, Rebecca Hinsley and husband Joe of Palestine; mother of his children, Ana Ashby and husband John of Dallas; cousin, Ginger Sweeden of Alba; several nephews; one niece; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
