There will be activities for the children provided by the high school floral design group.

Door prizes will be awarded, and several community resource organizations will be present to provide information.

Saturday, May 4 includes the annual May Fiesta put on by the Mineola Chamber of Commerce in downtown from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Entertainment includes Mariachi Real, a Selena tribute, DJ New Mazter, Folkloric and Aztec dancers, numerous piñatas and pepper eating and salsa making contests. There will be numerous food and artisan vendors and a beer garden. A car show is also planned.
