Lady Panthers fall in close bidistrict match
In a tightly-contested match, the Alba-Golden Lady Panthers dropped their bidistrict volleyball playoff to Wolfe City last Tuesday at Caddo Mills.
Alba-Golden opened with a 25-18 win only to fall behind with losses of 25-19 and 25-22.
The Lady Panthers evened the match with a 25-21 win to send it to the deciding fifth set.
Wolfe City prevailed 15-11 to advance.
Wolfe City was the second place team from District 11-2A while Alba-Golden placed third in 12-2A.
Wolfe City was swept by Lindsay in the area matchup Thursday.
