Glenda Jen Clark McMahen 1939-2023

Glenda Jean Clark McMahen, 83, passed away Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023 at her residence in Alba. She was born Dec. 2, 1939, in Hope, Ark. to Andrew Odowell and Myrth Jean Herring Clark. She married John Gammon McMahen on March 28, 1958 in Stamps, Ark. She lived in Alba for 22 years and Red Oak for 17 years before moving back to Alba a year ago. Glenda attended Ovilla Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters and daughter, Sheila McMahen.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, John McMahen of Alba; two daughters, Stefanie Moore and husband Jason of Alba and Stacy Steele and husband Tommy of DeSoto; two sisters, Cindy Williams and husband Dwayne of Bryan and Marilyn Bocan and husband Dan of Magnolia, Ark.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will be holding a memorial service for Glenda at a later date.

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
