Defendants plead guilty in district court
The following guilty pleas were heard and sentences assessed in 402nd District Court on Thursday, Feb. 22:
Stormie Lynn Vance, Winnsboro, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1/1-B, less than one gram, state jail felony, two years in state jail suspended for five years community supervision with 120 hours community service, $4,000 fine and $290 court costs.
Matthew Ryan Warren, Mineola, theft of property less than $2,500 with two or more previous convictions, state jail felony, 15 months in state jail with 221 days credit for time served, $1,500 fine and $290 court costs.
Jerry Brent Toney, Quitman, burglary of a building, state jail felony, one year in state jail with 404 days credit for time served, $1,000 fine and $290 court costs; theft of property $2,500 or more but less than $30,000, state jail felony, concurrent sentence.
Jesse James Billington, Winona, criminal mischief $2,500 or more but less than $30,000, state jail felony, nine months in state jail with 261 days credit for time served, $1,000 fine and $355 court costs.
