Alba-Golden events planned for Christmas

Alba-Golden school district will host a Winter Extravaganza Saturday, Dec. 9 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the school grounds off US Hwy. 69.

The day’s activities are scheduled to include live music, food trucks, photos with Santa, shopping, wagon rides and more.

Golden Grinch 5K and 1K family fun run 7:30 a.m. at the Golden Sweet Potato grounds.

Alba Christmas Parade is Saturday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m., line up at the community center at 6:15.

A hot chocolate bar will be set up on the square along with the Fly High Reindeer.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Come on over to Mineola’s beautiful Historic Select Theater and hear the Lake Country Symphonic Band’s Christmasy “Everything Christmas” concert.

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
