July 8
Deputy George performed a transport. Clayton Horton was transported to the jail on an active warrant from Mineola Police Department.
Deputies responded to a suicidal subject on County Road 2110. After speaking with the subject, the individual agreed to go with EMS for treatment.
July 9
Deputy Way responded to a theft on County Road 4494. The caller advised a male subject asked for help with gas and was later seen leaving the property during the night. The caller later discovered gasoline had been stolen from the tank and the fuel hose had been damaged. An offense report was completed.
Deputies and CID performed a warrant service in Hawkins. Reginald Christian was arrested on an active warrant.
Deputy Way performed a warrant service at Adult Probation. Tobey Wolfe was arrested on an active warrant.
July 10
Deputies performed a warrant service on Hwy. 80. Christopher Findley was arrested on an active warrant.
Deputy Swann and Deputy Netherland responded to a theft on County Road 1950. The victim advised someone stole multiple fishing poles from his boat. An offense report was completed.
Deputy Hammond responded to a found property call on County Road 4990. The caller advised a firearm had been located in the roadway. The firearm was returned to the Sheriff’s Office for safekeeping.
July 11
Deputies performed a warrant service at the jail. Derek Yazbeck was arrested on an active warrant.
Deputy Whisenhunt performed a security check on FM 2869. While conducting the check, he observed damage to a storage unit. The incident was documented pending a report from the owner.
Sgt. Rich and Deputy Nichols were dispatched to a disturbance on Private Road 5534. Both parties were intoxicated, and the female subject made suicidal statements. She was transported for treatment.
July 12
Sgt. Williams responded to a burglary on Hwy. 37. The caller advised the mother’s property had been broken into and multiple items were missing. An offense report was completed.
Deputy Swann and Deputy Netherland responded to a welfare concern. Deputies searched the area and later located the subject deceased inside the residence.
Deputies assisted Mineola Police Department with a stabbing investigation. Mineola police requested assistance locating the suspect, who was later found and taken into custody.
July 13
Deputy McGee transported a subject from the Winnsboro emergency room to Tyler for treatment.
July 14
Sgt. Cox and Deputy George responded to an assault on County Road 1917. Upon deputies’ arrival, the suspect failed to comply with commands and later retreated inside a camper. The suspect was eventually detained. The victim did not wish to pursue charges.
Deputy Haney responded to criminal mischief on FM 1647. The victim advised someone vandalized his truck during the night. An offense report was completed.
Deputy Knox took an assault report after the incident. The victim advised she and her boyfriend argued, and he spit in her face and sprayed alcohol on her. A report was completed.
