Jan. 14
Deputy Smith, warrant service, adult probation. Daniel Arnett arrested on active warrant.
Deputy Gloar, identity theft. Someone opened bank account, phone bill in subject’s name. Incident report completed.
Deputy Smith. Client mailed subject check, delivered to wrong house, residents said did not know anything about check, no one home on deputy’s arrival, follow-up will be completed.
Jan. 15
Sgt. Rich, Deputy Gloar, possible intoxicated person, Hwy. 154. Male subject fell off bike into roadway multiple times, located on CR 1895, intoxicated. Vincent Moore arrested for public intoxication.
Deputy Smith, Deputy Holland, fraud. Subject said received unauthorized credit card charges, possibly skimmed at gas station in Mineola, deputies checked all pumps, no skimmers found. Subject canceled card, bank canceled transactions.
Agency assist, Hwy. 154. Longview PD said vehicle stolen in their county pinging at Wood County address; deputies responded to address, but did not locate vehicle.
Jan. 16
Deputy Knox, criminal trespass, Hwy. 37. Subject wished to trespass someone from her property. Other person located, trespass warning issued.
Disturbance, CR 1970. Shawn Green arrested for assault family violence.
Sgt. Skinner, Deputy Haney, warrant service, Holly Lake Ranch. While on scene, Amanda Gonzales arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of a dangerous drug.
Deputy Haney, traffic stop, FM 2869. Driver John McGuire arrested on active warrant.
Jan. 17
Deputy Haley, burglary, Hwy. 154. Subject owns storage units, lock to one cut, did not wish to make report.
Deputy Tustin, burglary, CR 4830. Subject said lock on property cut, four-wheeler missing, did not wish to pursue charges.
Sgt. Skinner, business alarm, Hawkins. Subject saw person walking in store, deputies located juvenile male inside. Store manager declined to press charges.
Jan. 18
Deputy Swann, burglary. Store manager may have left front door unlocked, someone came in, took money from register. Knife used to pry cash drawer open located, collected. Incident report completed.
Shots fired call, CR 2697. Subject said daughter went into kitchen, got knife, started making stabbing motions to subject. Subject retrieved pistol, attempted to flee residence, heard someone running behind her, turned around, saw daughter running toward her and attempting to stab her. Subject fired once, striking daughter in leg; daughter fled scene. Deputies searched area, but did not locate suspect. Warrant will be issued.
Warrant service, CR 2697. Brenda Bowdin arrested on active warrant.
Jan. 19
Disturbance, CR 1684. Subject went to doctor after assault, may have injuries. Follow-up will be conducted and case filed.
Suicide, Quitman hospital. Subject transported for further treatment without incident.
Jan. 21
Deputy Knox, burglary, Hawkins. Someone broke into caller’s residence, caused damage. Offense report completed.
Deputy Haley, child abuse. Student made tip through bullying hotline regarding student who may have had alcohol at school, been abused at home. Contact made with appropriate school officials, CPS notified.
Sgt. Skinner, Deputy Tustin, suspicious circumstance. Subject called 911, said being followed by another vehicle. Quitman PD located vehicle, traffic stop conducted, driver Randall Clanton arrested for public intoxication.
Jan. 22
Deputy Knox, Deputy Swann, disturbance, FM 17. Subject said boyfriend slapped her in the face during argument. Suspect fled before deputies’ arrival; case will be forwarded to investigations.
Deputy Wiliams, Deputy Tustin, Deputy Nichols, disturbance, Yantis. Michelle Rutlede arrested for assault family violence.
Sgt. Skinner, Deputy Williams, Deputy Nichols, disturbance. Deputies made contact with all involved parties, who said no offense occurred.
Jan. 23
Deputy Hammond, burglary, Hwy. 154. Someone broke into storage unit, stole items. Offense report completed.
Jan. 24
Sgt. Williams, Deputy Way, missing juvenile. Juvenile’s phone pinged, subject located, returned home.
Deputy Gloar, missing person, CR 4560. Contact made with individuals who had not heard from subject in a while, subject entered as missing.
Jan. 25
Deputy Whisenhunt, suicidal subject, CR 3440. EMS transported subject to receive treatment.
Deputy Hammond, Deputy Smith, welfare check, CR 2171. Subject said male laying in snow in shed that had no roof. Subject did not understand there was inclement weather, had a deteriorating mental condition, transported to receive treatment and be removed from weather.
Jan. 26
Sgt. Cox, structure fire, CR 4186. All subjects outside structure, occupant said fire may have started from electrical heater. Fire marshal notified.
Deputy Swann, Deputy Knox, verbal disturbance. Subject said his children’s mother attempting to leave, and he blocked her in so she couldn’t, female backed into his vehicle in attempt to leave, subject informed he cannot block female in.
Deputy Knox, Deputy Swann, disturbance, CR 2375. Michael Green arrested for assault family violence with previous conviction.
Jan. 27
Sgt. Cox, burglary. Subject said someone went into residence, stole items. Subject provided list of missing items, offense report will be completed.
Deputy Knox, dog bite, CR 2306. Subject said had been bit by neighbor’s dog, broke skin, subject told to seek medical treatment. Contact made with neighbor while dog in yard, neighbor unable to get it inside; after struggle, dog placed inside residence, dog owner told to provide vaccine records. Dog will be quarantined, deputies awaiting vaccine records.
Sgt. Cox, structure fire, Hawkins. Homeowner said heating lamps in shed caught fire. Fire damaged neighbor’s fence, fire marshal notified.
