Dec. 17
Sgt. Williams, Deputy Smith, Deputy Hammond, suspicious vehicle, FM 779. Male subject broken into residence, Tyrell Battle arrested for burglary of a building
Deputy Whisenhunt, theft, Holly Lake Ranch. Squatters at mother’s residence have stolen items. List of items will be provided, offense report will be completed
Deputy Gloar, damage to property, Private Road 5942. Non-local female drove through gate on property. Vehicle information provided, offense report completed
Dec. 18
Possible drowning, CR 2503. Unresponsive son located in pool; EMS performed CPR, transported subject to hospital, pronounced deceased
Sgt. Williams, Deputy Holland, EMS assist, Yantis. Male ejected from side-by-side, pinned against fence; EMS removed subject, transported to receive treatment
Suspicious activity, FM 852. Wife, kids home alone, heard someone attempting to break into residence. Deputies searched area, did not locate anyone
Dec. 19
Deputy Knox, assault, Hawkins. Despite cold weather, female caller standing outside nude. Staff said subject had been combative; subject transported to receive treatment
Sgt. Cox, Deputy Holland, warrant service, adult probation. Cole Weems arrested on active warrant
Sgt. Cox, Deputy Knox, suspicious circumstance, Hawkins. House had busted-out windows. Deputies searched residence, did not locate anyone inside
Deputy Swann, fraud. Caller sent large amount of money over phone to someone claiming to be FBI agent, offense report completed
Dec. 20
Deputy Haley, Deputy Nichols, damage to property, FM 2869. Someone tried to drill hole into lock box. Suspect, vehicle information provided, offense report completed
Assault, CR 3875. Caller assaulted by male subject. Shaun Crowson arrested for assault
Deputy Williams, Deputy Tustin, disturbance, Hwy. 80. After speaking with all parties, Antonio Martinez arrested for assault family violence
Dec. 21
Welfare check, CR 2460. No one located on property, doors to residence locked. Caller will check on subject
Deputy Haney, inquest, CR 2460. Male subject located deceased inside of caller’s residence
Deputy Haney, structure fire, FM 49. No injuries on scene, fire marshal notified.
Dec. 22
Deputy George, Deputy Holland, criminal trespass, CR 2117. Manager of store came to caller’s residence to retrieve purchased item. Caller requested subject be criminally trespassed from property. Caller informed employee has right to retrieve items due to non-payment
Deputy Way, agency assist. Male subject called to request EMS, became unresponsive; subject deceased
Deputy Gloar, damage to property. Someone destroyed mailbox, took items out; report completed, forwarded to postmaster
Threats, CR 1616. Neighbor threatened caller; contact made with neighbor, who made outlandish statements, could not make complete statements. Subject transported to receive treatment
Lt. Morrison, Deputy Vanatta, warrant service, CR 3448. Wanted subject did not come to door, deputies believed subject inside. Entry made into residence, Walter Foster located, arrested on active warrant
Dec. 23
Sgt. Williams, Deputy George, Deputy Holland, child abuse, Mineola. Neighbor’s child came to residence scared, claiming assault by stepfather. Contact made with mother, stepfather, who said have attempted to discipline child, but he refuses to accept it or complete his chores. Child informed discipline is not illegal
Sgt. Williams, Animal Control Officer Tarno, follow-up on dog bite. While deputies in area, dog in question attacked another dog. Dog owner not in area
Deputy Smith, suspicious item, CR 2320. Caller found item on front porch, appeared to be pipe bomb; deputies removed item from residence after ensuring bomb not active
Suspicious circumstance, CR 4583. Caller said people inside residence stealing items; no one located inside, did not appear any entry or missing items.
Dec. 24
Animal bite, CR 2169. Two subjects bitten by five dogs. Transported to receive treatment, dog owners given citations
Deputy Swann, criminal trespass, CR 1227. Male subject trespassed from property
Deputy Tustin, traffic stop, FM 778. Driver had bond conditions preventing from being around passenger. Daniel Miller arrested for violation of bond conditions
Dec. 25
Sgt. Cox, Deputy Knox, missing person, Private Road 7867. Son missing, located after someone else dropped him off at their residence. Transported by EMS
Sgt. Cox, Deputy Swann, death investigation, Holiday Village. Unresponsive neighbor located, appropriate agencies contacted
Dec. 26
Deputy Hammond, suspicious activity, CR 4840. Four subjects attempting to break into vehicle, offense report completed
Sgt. Williams, Deputy Way, disturbance, Hawkins. Ex-husband showed up, assaulted subject, fled. Case forwarded to investigations
Deputy Smith, agency assist, CR 3486. CPS had court order to retrieve juvenile. Subject at residence said did not know where juvenile was; upon search, juvenile located. Kayleb Upchurch arrested for interfering with child custody
Deputy Way, theft, stolen vehicle. Vehicle showed up on Mineola PD license plate readers, located, Alisha Puryear arrested for theft of a vehicle
Dec. 27
Sgt. Williams, fraud, FM 515. Customer gave fake bill after taking items from store. Offense report completed
Sgt. Williams, agency assist. Hopkins County located subject with Wood County warrant, transported to county line. Sgt. Williams transported subject to jail
Deputy Way, Deputy Vanatta, disturbance, FM 2869. Son threatened to harm subject, placed battery in oven that blew up. Shannon Schattel arrested for aggravated assault
Dec. 28
Disturbance outside Sheriff’s Office. Parties visited someone in jail when other parties began giving them looks. Case forwarded to investigations
Deputy Beck, Deputy Vanatta, vehicle burglaries, CR 2952 and CR 2930. Items taken
Deputy Hammond, concerns mother poisoning father. Investigations notified, report completed

Deputy Vanatta, burglary, CR 2950. Vehicle broken into, firearm stolen
Deputy Haley, Deputy Knox, disturbance, FM 49. Driver rammed motorcycle, located, Rita Deweese arrested on active warrant
Deputy Haney, assault, FM 2966. Juvenile daughter assaulted subject by striking her. Juvenile Probation and CPS contacted

Deputy Tustin, suspicious person, CR 2950. Male walking down county road, had been burglaries in area recently; no one located
