December 10

Lt. Morrison, Sgt. Skinner, disturbance, Holiday Village. Kayleigh Blair arrested on active warrant.

Deputy Tustin, disturbance, FM 69. Caller, fiancé in physical altercation, did not wish to pursue charges or cooperate, parties left by deputy’s arrival.

Deputies performed warrant service, CR 2164. Matthew Robbins arrested on active warrant. 

December 11

Deputy Knox, assault. DPS Tyler located female walking around, had nowhere to go, female had been drinking, could not remember what happened past few days, case forwarded to investigations. 

Deputy Tustin, welfare check. Subject said would harm herself if left alone at home, subject’s mother will take her to receive treatment. 

Deputies performed agency assist, FM 1253. Smith County deputies in pursuit of vehicle toward Wood County, vehicle became disabled, fled on foot, deputies assisted until subject arrested.

December 12

Deputy Beck, motor vehicle accident, FM 778. Deputy located motorcycle involved in wreck, initiated traffic stop, motorcycle failed to stop until driver reached home, driver resisted. Kyle Taylor arrested for DWI, attempting to elude police officer. 

Deputy Vanatta, disturbance, FM 515. Son assaulted father during argument. Jeremy Mckenzie arrested for assault family violence. 

Deputy Way, damage to property. Female struck mailboxes in area, report completed, APS contacted due to subject’s mental health concerns. 

December 13

Deputy Smith, Deputy Hammond, reckless driver, Hwy. 154. Multiple vehicles run off roadway, subject’s car nearly struck several vehicles, subject had taken pills before driving. Jessie Brown taken to hospital to be medically cleared. 

Sgt. Williams, Deputy Way, suspicious person, CR 4560. Female walking area, acting suspicious, contact made with subject. Samantha Moore arrested on active warrant.

Deputy Way, disturbance, FM 2225. Deputies learned Lynn Jones had active warrant, arrested. 

Deputy Beck, reckless driver, Hwy. 80. Field sobriety tests conducted, passenger attempted to exit vehicle several times. Passenger Grisel Torres arrested for public intoxication. 

December 14

Sgt. Williams, Deputy Smith, Deputy Hammond, burglary alarm, Hwy. 37. Deputies located two male subjects inside, not allowed to be there, juvenile subjects arrested for burglary of a building. 

Deputy Hammond, theft. Someone stole gas from tank on property for fourth time, offense report completed. 

Sgt. Williams, Deputy Smith, Deputy Hammond, shots fired, CR 2482. Male showed up intoxicated, began arguing, male said homeowner fired shot toward him, deputies discovered another person on property was sighting in firearm and fired shot. 

December 15

Deputy Nichols, theft. Package delivered to mailbox, package missing, case forwarded to investigations. 

Sgt. Cox, violation of protection order, CR 2749. Caller had protection order in place against ex-wife, who has not left property, caller allowed female to stay on property to retrieve personal items, was told any items left must be retrieved by other person.

Deputies received reports of scam calls. Callers received phone call from person claiming to be employee of Sheriff’s Office, requesting money to pay off warrant. Callers advised to hang up, call back correct phone number for Sheriff’s Office to verify if original call legitimate, 903-763-2201.

December 16

Sgt. Cox, Deputy Swann, welfare check, CR 3144. Caller’s father blocking in mother at home, will not let her leave, contact made with mother, who said had been assaulted, photos provided, offense report completed. 

Deputies responded to disturbance, CR 2163. No offense occurred. Misty Wheeler arrested on active warrants. 

Deputies responded to shots fired, CR 3144. Caller’s father chasing her boyfriend with semi-truck, rammed vehicle, suspect fled scene before deputies arrival, unable to locate, case forwarded to investigations. 

Dispatch received call advising wanted subject in above case located on Hwy. 80 near Mineola. While deputies enroute, Mineola PD located vehicle coming into city, traffic stop conducted. Aryan Tracy arrested on active warrant for deadly conduct.
