October 22

Deputy Way, warrant service, Hwy. 37. Chad Busby arrested on active warrant and for unlawful carrying of a weapon. 

Deputy Vanatta, suspicious person, CR 2122; male subject came into caller’s yard threatening them and then walked down road, deputy searched area, did not locate subject. 

Deputy Vanatta, possible fraud; caller purchased vehicle, on the way home, she was involved in wreck, previous owner attempting to file insurance claim, offense report completed. 

October 23

Deputy Smith, theft, Hwy. 37; during night someone stole golf cart, Investigator Ragsdale located golf cart abandoned on trail, returned to owner. 

Deputy Beck, theft, CR 3802; when victim came home from hospital, noticed power wheel-chair was gone, offense report completed. 

Lt. Kovic, Sgt. Williams, Deputy Vanatta, assault, CR 2231; victim assaulted by ex-wife over new girlfriend, had abrasions on chest and arms, suspect stated male was aggressor, but had no visible injuries. Brittney Vaughan arrested for assault family violence. 

October 24

Deputy Haley, Deputy Swan, disturbance, FM 2869; victim assaulted by female, deputies observed scratched marks on victim. Shannon Schattel arrested for assault. 

Deputy Haney, burglary, FM 14; storage unit broken into, case forwarded to investigations. 

Sgt. Skinner, Deputy Haney, disturbance, CR 2745; parties separated, neighbors had been drinking, got into physical altercation, no parties wished to pursue charges. 

October 25

Deputy Knox, assault, FM 2225; victim’s son forced himself inside residence, pushed her, causing pain, fled prior to deputies’ arrival, offense report completed. 

Deputy Hammond, theft, FM 778; someone stole trailer from property during night, offense report completed. 

Deputy Hammond, disturbance, CR 1941; caller picked up friend, allowed him to stay at residence, will not leave after several days, subject advised he had been assaulted, had no visible injuries, transported away from property. 

October 26

Deputy Haley, Deputy Hammond, Deputy Swann, warrant service, FM 2869. Bobby Gibson arrested on active warrants. 

Deputy Knox, theft; caller inherited parents’ property, family member believes someone broke in, stole vehicle, caller lives out of town, will respond to residence to confirm what is missing, vehicle entered as stolen. 

Deputy Hammond, suspicious circumstance; ex-church member has stalked victim’s kids in the past, is trying to contact them, subject has been criminally trespassed from church but showed up and sat behind the children, offense report completed. 

October 27

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Smith, Deputy Hammond, warrant service, CR 2380. Andrew Leewright arrested for stalking warrant, due to stalking children. 

Deputy Way, theft, CR 1780; victim let someone borrow chainsaw, has not returned it, offense report completed. 

Deputy Way, theft, Hwy. 37; caller’s friend came to residence, stole large amount of vintage coins, offense report completed. 

Deputies dispatched to shots fired, Hwy. 154; male shot another male subject, fled scene, victim taken to hospital, deputies met with him, identified suspect and vehicle, case forwarded to investigations. 

October 28

Deputy Smith, burglary, FM 14; someone broke into unit, stole items, offense report completed. 

CID responded to Sulphur Springs to locate suspect in shooting previous day, located subject, Diquincie Morris, arrested for aggravated assault with deadly weapon. 

Sgt. Williams, Deputy Vanatta, structure fire, FM 779; occupants able to exit residence safely, fire marshal notified.
