Deputy Hammond, scam, CR 2950; victim purchased vehicle online, after sending seller money, he stopped communications, vehicle is supposed to be en route to him, will call back if he does not receive it. 

Deputy Knox, disturbance, Yantis; caller’s ex came to residence where kids were being babysat, forced herself into residence, took children with her, determined to be civil issue due to being no court orders. 

Deputy Haney, assault, CR 3540; victim assaulted by ex-boyfriend when she returned to residence to retrieve property, case forwarded to investigations. 

Sgt. Skinner, Deputy Williams, intoxicated person, Hwy. 37; subject located. Matthew Axford arrested for public intoxication. 

Deputy Tustin, assault, CR 4400; victim assaulted by neighbor. Bryce Arnold arrested on active warrant. 

September 18

Deputy Knox, missing firearm; victim had not seen firearm in several days, firearm details provided, entered as stolen. 

Deputy Haley, Deputy Hammond, unwanted person, FM 2869; property owner advised subject in one of her campers not allowed to be there, subject was advised he did not have permission to be in residence. 

Lt. Milbourn, Sgt. Cox, Deputy Hammond, stolen vehicle, Private Road 7131; deputies located stolen vehicle which was towed. Hayden Fort arrested on active warrant. 

September 19

Deputy Smith, Deputy Vanatta, wanted person, Hawkins; CPS working case, they believe one of residents had warrant, deputies confirmed warrant. Amanda Brown arrested on active warrant. 

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Whisenhunt, CID, child in roadway; deputies located child, transported to receive treatment for minor injuries, contact made with father who advised he was asleep, child crawled through window. David Ivy arrested for abandon/endanger child, CPS contacted. 

Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Rich, assault, Hawkins; victim had been assaulted by granddaughter. Hannah Sweet arrested for assault family violence. 

September 20

Deputy Smith, Deputy Vanatta, welfare concern, CR 1660; deputies searched residence, discovered it was unlivable, APS contacted. 

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Smith, Deputy Vanatta, pursuit, Hwy. 80; DPS advised in a pursuit, driver eventually stopped, taken into custody. 

Deputy Gloar, disturbance, CR 4568; resident in neighborhood tried to fight caller over HOA dues, no offense occurred. 

September 21

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Smith, Deputy Vanatta, warrant service, CR 2842. Roy Cagle arrested on active warrant. 

Deputy Whisenhunt, harassment, Hawkins; victim’s daughter’s ex-boyfriend has continued to text him after being told to stop, offense report for terroristic threat completed. 

Deputy Smith, Deputy Vanatta, disturbance, CR 2810; caller’s cousin who lives on property refusing to leave, made unwanted contact with caller. Clayton Horton arrested for assault by contact. 

Sgt. Williams, Deputy Beck, disturbance, CR 4537. Joshua Vaughan arrested for assaulting his wife. 

Cpl. Rich, damage to property, Hwy. 154; male subject damaged his wife’s vehicle windshield, offense report completed.

Cpl. Rich, Deputy Beck, agency assist, Quitman ER. Quitman PD advised male subject causing disturbance at ER. Edward Drummond arrested for public intoxication. 

Deputy Gloar, disturbance, CR 2140. Amy Stephens arrested for assault family violence after assaulting her daughter. 

September 22

Deputy Haley, suspicious circumstance, CR 2667; caller’s daughter had been in relationship with older male, when she told male she was younger, he threatened to harm her over text. Offense report completed. 

Deputy Hammond, theft, CR 3811; property owner advised items missing, CID contacted after possible suspect given, search warrant conducted, stolen items recovered, offense report completed. 

Sgt. Cox, assault, Jarvis College; student sent victim text to come to his room, when she did, he assaulted her, offense report completed. 

Deputies performed warrant service, CR 3265. Clayton Pasteka arrested on active warrant.

September 23

Sgt. Cox, Deputy Haley, death investigation, CR 2920; caller located her son lying on floor in bedroom, subject pronounced deceased, autopsy ordered. 

Deputy Hammond, follow up, CR 3811; caller advised more items had been stolen, information will be added to original report. 

Sgt. Cox, Deputy Hammond, criminal trespass, FM 2869; Kenneth Odum arrested, interviewed by CID, taken to jail for aggravated assault with deadly weapon. While deputies were at original address, they located Jacob Wilson, who had bond conditions prohibiting him from being on property, arrested for violation of bond conditions.
