October 23

Cpl. Croney, Jarvis Christian, assault; victim was at party, bumped into female, several females assaulted him, female made report previously advising the male assaulted her, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Comeaux, theft; neighbor told victim someone stole weed eater, was walking down road with it, caller provided possible suspect, offense report completed.

Cpl. Rich, Deputy Comeaux, theft, CR 2378; someone broke into victim’s vehicle during night, stole two riffles and suppressor, offense report completed.

October 24

Deputies responded to multiple vehicle burglaries in Alba; suspects are checking for unlocked doors, rummaging through vehicles. 

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Pollard, suicidal subject; caller’s cousin told her she was going to harm herself and left, subject stated she took large number of pills, transported to receive treatment.

Sgt. Williams, Deputy Holland, reckless driver, Hwy. 69; vehicle drove off roadway, trooper conducted SFSTs, subject would not cooperate with deputies, slid to the ground by patrol unit. When deputies attempted to put subject in vehicle, he struck trooper. Brandon Smith arrested for DWI 3rd or more, resisting arrest.

October 25 

Deputy Smith, physical disturbance; mother advised daughter had assaulted her. Due to history of violence, Juvenile Probation contacted, juvenile transported to them.

Deputy Skinner, suspicious circumstance, CR 2922; red Chevy truck drove past shop, fled area when they saw subject, deputies unable to locate vehicle.

Deputy Williams, assault; victim assaulted by son, ongoing issue, offense report completed, follow up will be completed.

October 26

Deputy Skinner, Deputy Smith, disturbance, FM 17; suspect would not open door, victim located at separate location, did not wish to press charges, would not cooperate.

Deputy Smith, assault, Quitman ER; victim provided video of assault and two others, offense report completed.

Deputy Way, suspicious circumstance, FM 778; storage unit door open with contents inside, deputies observed lock and keys still in door, did not appear items were missing.

October 27

Sgt. Cox, animal welfare concern; horse appeared to be very skinny, horse owner advised horse had become sick, animal rescue contacted, advised owner would surrender horse.

Deputy Smith, burglary, Hwy. 37; business owner advised someone broke window, stole money from cash register, awaiting security footage.

Sgt. Cox, Deputy Skinner, welfare check, CR 3565; caller advised son has history of drug problems, concerned about safety of everyone in residence, deputies discovered subject took firearm from residence, has previous felony convictions. Dylan Mayberry arrested for unlawful possession of firearm, tamper/fabricate physical evidence and possession of controlled substance.

Cpl. Burdick, disturbance, Hwy.154; parties had similar stories, male admitted grabbing knife, making threats during altercation. James Roscoe arrested for aggravated assault.

Deputy Way, gunshot victim, Quitman ER; victim advised he was cleaning gun, went off in his hand.

October 28

Deputy Whisenhunt, burglary, CR 2168; someone broke into vehicle, took multiple items, victim provided possible suspect, offense report completed.

Deputy Whisenhunt, burglary, Wood County Airport; unknown male entered office, took cash from cash box, ate snacks, male later observed walking, deputy made contact for identification, offense report completed. 

Deputy Haley, abandoned vehicle, CR 4250; license plates, registration sticker did not belong to vehicle, both removed from vehicle.

October 29

Lt. Milbourn, Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Croney, burglary in progress, CR 3114; when caller arrived home, front door open, saw male peak outside, deputies searched residence, determined male fled on foot, unable to locate suspect, possible suspect identified involved in several previous burglaries.

Deputy Comeaux, suicidal subject, Private Road 7521; subject advised had bad dream, husband said she was acting suicidal, subject did not make any suicidal comments to deputies, left with father for the night. 

Deputies attempted to locate burglary suspect from previous incidents; multiple people advised male walking down road asking for ride, unable to locate.
