October 16

Sgt. Cox, theft, CR 2650; someone entered back door of residence, stole multiple items, owner will provide serial numbers of missing items.

Deputy Williams, damage to property, Holly Lake Ranch; victim believes car received scratch from Fed-Ex driver earlier in the day, report provided for victim’s insurance company. 

Sgt. Cox, suspicious person, Winnsboro ER; male hanging around ER, using electrical outlet, unable to locate subject.

October 17

Sgt. Cox, warrant service, Adult Probation. Jason Boles arrested for active warrant.

Deputy Skinner, theft, Holly Lake Ranch; multiple items missing from residence, victim believes cleaning company took them, deputy attempted to call cleaning company, no answer.

Deputy Way, damage to property, CR 4105; victim’s daughter’s boyfriend came to pick her up, when he left, he did a burnout causing damage to driveway, victim will call back if he wishes to press charges.

October 18 

Cpl. Croney, Deputy Pollard, disturbance, CR 4660; caller and wife got into argument, she pushed him, he pushed her back. Due to female placing unwanted contact on victim, Thi Nguyen arrested for assault.

Deputy Holland, abandoned vehicle, FM 1799; vehicle stolen out of Garland, towed for owner to retrieve.

Lt. Kovic, Sgt. Williams, shots fired, Private Road 5679; subject came to house yelling at victims to get vehicle out of roadway, caller and husband went to subject’s house to confront him, three other vehicles arrived, occupants began hitting caller’s husband, caller retrieved firearm fired one warning shot, case forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Williams, Deputy Comeaux, physical disturbance, Jarvis Christian, victim assaulted by another male who was not on campus, security provided copy of video footage, case forwarded to Investigations.

Deputy Haley, physical disturbance, FM 3056; victim’s granddaughter assaulted her during altercation, Juvenile Probation contacted.

Cpl. Rich, vehicle accident; trooper working side by side accident, the side by side was reported stolen, driver transported by EMS to receive treatment, side by side towed. 

October 19

Deputy Pollard, animal welfare check; horses on property not being taken care of, deputies observed vehicle blocking residence driveway, driver advised he had just fed horses, got stuck, follow up will be completed.

Cpl. Croney, burning tires, CR 1900; fire contained metal rims and wire from tires, subject made aware of offense, given verbal warning, subject advised he would remove remaining tire pieces.

Deputy Holland, Quitman ER, child with gun shot wound; father advised they were target practicing, child pointed firearm at ground, went off, struck his foot.

October 20

Cpl. Croney, estray livestock, CR 4530; caller advised neighbor’s cow on her property again; owner advised they were out of town, would fix their fence.

Cpl. Croney, suspicious activity, CR 1483. The property owner advised she had game camera pictures of people trespassing on her property and hunting. Deputies observed the photos that did not have any people in the pictures.

Cpl. Rich, Deputy Haley, dispute, Hwy. 37. The victim advised his neighbor was yelling and cussing at him. The neighbor was acting erratic and agreed to surrender his weapon for the time being for safe keeping. 

October 21

Deputy Smith, kidnapping, CR 4586; caller advised she and her baby were forced into vehicle, taken to another town. Upshur County located mother and baby, suspect fled on foot, warrant filed for suspect.

Sgt. Sepulvado, warrant service, Adult Probation. Sanford Hobbs arrested for active warrant.

Deputy Skinner, warrant service, Adult Probation. Lisa Pedlar arrested for active warrant.

Deputy Way, criminal trespass, Holly Lake Ranch; victim advise female came onto her property who was not allowed, deputy attempted contact suspect, person at residence advised she was not there, ignored deputy, offense report was completed.

Deputy Way, suspicious person, CR 3545; female ran through several yards, truck drove through neighborhood shining flashlight looking for female, truck driver advised the female was fine, deputy searched for female, unable to locate her.

October 22

Deputy Skinner, runaway juvenile; deputies learned juvenile had run away multiple times, searched area, unable to locate juvenile.

Sgt. Cox, loose livestock, CR 1410; cow on property had eaten $500 worth of plants, cow owner advised he would retrieve it.

Cpl. Burdick, criminal trespass, Private Road 5551; female observed on edge of property where she had active trespass warning, victim did not wish to pursue charges.
