Wood County Sheriff’s Office holds doggie adoption day
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office held an adoption day event on Saturday, March 7. According to organizer and Assistant Jail Administrator Jeanie Hurst, 20 dogs were taken to the event, and two found their “forever home.”
“This may not sound like a lot, but every adoption we have helps,” Hurst said.
Adoptions can be done anytime, not just during events.
“For anyone looking to find that perfect fit, we always have someone available to meet people,” Hurst said.
Hurst says that the office is already planning their next adoption day for sometime in the summer.
