Wood County Democratic Party to host Meet the Candidates Town Hall

The Wood County Democratic Party will host a “Meet the Candidates” Town Hall Saturday, Sept. 19, from 4:30-8:30 p.m. at the Jim Hogg City Park Pavilion in Quitman.
The event will give area residents a chance to meet Democratic candidates, learn about their priorities and pick up campaign information.
Candidates and representatives confirmed to attend include:
● Dan Barrios, candidate for U.S. House, Texas District 32
● Laticia Ambroz, candidate for Texas Senate District 1
● Hector Garza, candidate for Texas House District 5
● Ericka Ledferd, candidate for State Board of Education District 9
● Carlist Brinkley, candidate for Wood County Commissioner, Precinct 2
● Passionique Taylor, candidate for Wood County Commissioner, Precinct 4
● A representative for Vicky Goodwin, candidate for lieutenant governor of Texas
Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be available.
Organizers will collect nonperishable food items for Wood County food banks and donations for APET Animal Shelter. Attendees are encouraged to bring donations to support the organizations and the people and animals they serve.
The town hall will be held at Jim Hogg City Park Pavilion in Quitman, TX 75783.
