This November, we are proud to recognize Justin Varner, a U.S. Navy veteran who served our country for eight years. Originally from Sweetwater, Texas, Varner now calls Alba home.

During his time in the Navy, he served as a missile technician and gunner’s mate, achieving the rank of gunner’s mate first class (E-6).

Throughout his military career, Varner earned several honors, including the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal and Iraq Campaign Medal.

His favorite duty station was Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

When asked what inspired him to join the Navy, Varner shared that his grandfather was his inspiration. His grandfather served in the U.S. Air Force, making military service a meaningful part of their family’s history.

We are grateful for Varner’s dedication and eight years of service to our nation. We are honored to recognize him this November.
