Madison Snook, 18, has made the most of her senior year at Mineola High School, staying involved in theater, band, academics and community service.
The daughter of Melissa Snook, a Mineola Primary School music teacher, and Joshua Snook, Mineola Middle School assistant principal, Madison serves as historian for Act 1 and Company Theatre and was named the organization’s Junior of the Year.
She has also competed in UIL One-Act Play, advancing to the regional level, and is a member of the National Honor Society.
Music has been another important part of Madison’s high school years. She has played clarinet for seven years and performs on synthesizer and cymbals with the Sound of the Swarm. She was named Rookie of the Year and serves on the band’s leadership team.
Madison also participates in the Sound of the Swarm Jazz Band, earned a place in the All-Region Jazz Band and has competed at the State Solo and Ensemble Contest.
Outside of school, she enjoys participating in mission trips and serving in the Children’s Ministry at Rose Heights Church, where she volunteers as a Sunday school teacher for children ages 4 and 5.
After graduation, Madison plans to attend Tyler Junior College and pursue a career in the medical field.
