Fannie Marchman Garden Club sets 2026 agenda
The Fannie Marchman Garden Club in Mineola closed out the first half of its year in December with a membership luncheon. Plans for 2026 were also announced.
Jan. 21 Clint Perkins will speak about soil. Feb. 18 Cynthia Foster, a farm owner from Yantis, will speak about irises and lilies. March 18 will be a field trip to Crockett to visit the Biblical and Butterfly Garden at the Crockett First United Methodist Church. April 15 the club will meet to elect officers for 2026-27 and discuss club business.
May 20 officers will be elected, and the club’s year will be finalized. June 17 will be a field trip to the East Texas Arboretum in Athens.
Unless stated otherwise, the club meets at the Mineola Civic Center.
The date of the club’s annual fundraiser of geranium sales is to be determined, but historically it occurs before Easter.
Summer plans include the annual garden tour and, in celebration of the club’s 90th year, a flower show.
