Tribute wall coming to Mineola
The GoldStars Tribute Wall will be on display on W. Commerce St. in downtown Mineola from Friday, Aug. 6 to Monday, Aug. 9. There will be a ceremony to honor the fallen on Saturday, Aug. 7 at 10 a.m.
This is the wall’s first and only scheduled stop in Texas.
The wall is a traveling memorial that honors service members who have fallen while serving in the United States military since the beginning of the Gulf War.
Veterans organizations and the owner and builder of the wall will be on hand to promote awareness and to answer any questions. More information about the wall can be found at www.tributewall.org.
The event will be located near the Veterans Memorial and Gazebo area.
The event is sponsored by the City of Mineola Marketing and Tourism Department.
