The Quitman Public Library is recognizing the “Dog Days of Summer,” which refers to a time of particularly hot and humid weather during late July and August. You are invited to stop by the library, cool off and check out the display near the front desk celebrating these days of summer lethargy. For our youngest summer readers, check out any book about a dog and receive a free ice cream cup, courtesy of Quitman’s Sonic Drive-In, through Aug. 31.
It’s a Fiction Only Book Sale! The Friends of the QPL are holding a book sale Aug. 7-8 in the community room. Many of these fiction books are new and one of a kind.
