The Board Games for Teens group meets Friday, Nov. 7 from 1-4 p.m. in the library community room. Bring board games and snacks to share. This group meets every other Friday, is organized by Homeschoolers – Wood County, Texas and is designed for teens 13-19. Call 903-763-4191 to confirm game days.

The Wood County TX Genealogical Society will hold its regular meeting on Monday, Nov. 17 at 5 p.m. in the Shamburger Community Room. Historian and author R.M. Conger will present his work “The Last Conger of Wood County, Texas.” Volunteers from the genealogical society are available by appointment in the Genealogy Department from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. to help researchers trace their Wood County ancestors.

The Quitman Bridge Club regularly meets at the library on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. David Worrall, an expert Bridge player and instructor, invites players of all levels to play.  

The public is invited to join the Wood County Metal Detecting Club on the first Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the community room.

Knitting and crochet instruction class meets each Thursday, 2-4 p.m. at the library. Students of all ages and skill levels are invited to join this growing group. Classes are free.
