New Hope SUD enters Phase 1 drought plan amid well problems
New Hope Special Utility District has entered Phase 1 of its drought contingency plan because of problems with one of the district’s water supply wells.
General Manager Thomas Crawford said customers are being asked to avoid nonessential water use until further notice.
“Any nonessential use of water is not recommended at this time as we struggle to figure out what's going on with one of our supply wells,” Crawford said.
“Not using the water that you don't have to use would be greatly appreciated.”
Crawford also said Thursday that the district is rescinding its boil water notice after receiving water sample results from the lab.
