Mineola senior center sports new paint job
The Mineola Senior Citizens Center is up and running again.
New activities include a monthly potluck with a guest speaker on the first Thursday of each month. The next one is set June 1 at noon. Bring a favorite dish. It is a good opportunity to meet other seniors in the area.
Games are played on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., including Spinners, Rummikub, card games, or just enjoy coffee and conversation.
A chair exercise class will begin Thursday, June 8 at 11:30 a.m. There is no charge.
The center’s board members invite the community to view the improvements inside and outside, thanks to the generosity of the Meredith Foundation. This includes a new paint job on the exterior.
The center is located at 308 University at McDonald. Call 903-497-1298 for more information.
